Physical Therapy services are available to our citizens on an inpatient, swing-bed, home health, and outpatient basis. This program allows patients to receive rehabilitation in order to develop, maintain, and restore maximum movement and functional ability when these have been threatened by the processes of aging or that of injury or disease.
Physical Therapy services are provided in a caring and supportive environment overseen by skilled licensed Physical Therapists. Each patient’s plan of care is individually personalized to enhance recovery and is structured to compliment overall medical care. Each plan of care is developed under the direction of a patient’s own physician.
Highly trained, experienced and compassionate therapists provide a positive focus to encourage the return of a productive and functional lifestyle. Knowledgeable about treatment goals, our therapists tailor their efforts to improve each patient’s well-being.
Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance companies provide coverage for this program. A physician referral is required. For further information about Physical Therapy at Knox County Hospital, please call 940.657.3535.
